BRC Dressage Clinic - Oct 11 2009- Everyone I spoke to was in awe of Amanda's teaching style. To say she is an arena craft specialist is putting it mildly. Beginners to more advanced, Amanda showed everyone how to ride the movements of a dressage test accurately and utilise the entire arena correctly so as to not throw away valuable marks in a test. It truly becomes the "art of a test".  One could hear surprised comments from most riders at some stage as suddenly the penny dropped at how easy it really is but how difficult we had made it for ourselves. Amanda's other focus on better positioning of rider on the horse in order to allow the horse to travel more freely and happily was also a key point of reinforcement for all participants. Thank you to Amanda for sharing her lovely property with BRC members. ...I'd encourage anyone to come along, learn heaps and ride better............................Bec Morsink BRC Event Secretary

I would like to just thank Amanda and her school pony Cllwyd for the fantastic lesson I had.  My confidence wasn't very high due to my thoroughbred and I didn't get along very well. But no doubt about it Cllwyd is a gorgeous horse. I heard a lot about 'kings hill riding school'  and my mum booked me in for a lesson.. I told Amanda about my situation and she put me on Cllwyd. He was just gorgeous.  I would just like to give Kings Hill a big THANKYOU for all the confidence you gave me in just one lesson. Amanda can you please give Cllwyd a big THANKYOU as well for he took a big part in my increased confidence. I would definitely recommend you to others.

Hi Amanda -Thank you for the terrific lesson this afternoon.  I was inspired by your teaching and thoroughly enjoyed the experience.  You have such a wonderful gift for imparting your knowledge in a rewarding and comprehensible way. I am impatiently looking forward to the next lesson. Kind Regards Ann Stobbart

Hi Amanda Thank you so much for all your help and advice with my riding, I have really felt that my confidence has increased a lot since coming to you for lessons. I am looking forward to making a lot of progress next year and getting out to some more competitions.  Thank you Deb ( and Sunny)

Hi Amanda, I have to thank you for a wonderful day on Saturday. You certainly had a
job on your hands battling the cold and the wet ground. Kate came home so happy with herself, the confidence you gave her in one day will stay with her for a lifetime and that was the bridge we needed to cross. Thankyou for taking us there.   Dianne Boyd

Amanda, Thankyou for Jenna’s  wonderful riding lesson. She has had many instructors over her years of riding, Sarah Venemore, Les Friend, & the Macleans to name a few but she said her body felt so much more comfortable and secure on the horse with you.  Jenna has been an elite athlete as a gymnast and was also offered scholarships for cycling and diving. I don't think her previous instructors were able to "manage' her body posture very well.      Belinda Moore

I'd just like to thank you for a great few months of riding - it is something I have wanted to do since I was a very little girl - but not really had the opportunity and/or confidence - you have been a real find as far as teaching is concerned - you have such a knowledge of, and rapport with, your horses and have made the whole experience enjoyable. Thanks again and I will see you again in the new year -  Deb Stelling

Another successful training day was held at the Bungendore Showground on Sunday 19th March. The day started with showjumping instruction in the morning with Amanda Graydon. She instructed 10 riders divided into 2 groups. We had a number of riders out on their first or second outing with their horses, or riders feeling a bit apprehensive/nervous.  Amanda soon put all that to rest with her ability to build confidence in riders and their horses no matter what their level. The aim of the day was to set you and your horse up for success.  The main focus of the instruction was the Jumping Position and riding the ‘lines’.  The aim of the exercises was to assist us in achieving the correct position and to be able to balance ourselves and our horses first over poles and cavalletti and then to proceed to complete a mini showjumping course. The jumps started at 30cm and went up depending on the horse/rider confidence. Every rider went away with new ideas to improve their riding and relationship with their horse. And plenty of confidence was brimming over by the end of the lesson as was indicated by all the smiling faces. A big thank-you to Amanda Graydon for her professional and cheerful instruction.
